Client Background:

The client wished to design a highly portable AED device; one that could be easily stowed in a purse or a vehicle. In so doing, they hoped to increase the number of life-saving AEDs available within the patient population, should a cardiac emergency present itself.

Client’s Request(s):

Our mission in this project was to integrate with current contract resources as expediently as possible, followed by the development and delivery of an MVP (minimum viable product) to serve for the next steps.

Project Actions:

The main deliverable for this client was an enhancement to their project management needs. Once up to speed, Concise Engineering delivered the following items:

  • Managed the RA/QA and Design & Development firms contracted by the client

  • Released procedures supporting QMS compliance

  • Drafted Planning and Design inputs document

Outcome:

We delivered the MVP product as planned (shown above). This AED design went on to win an AngelMD award as well as three other design innovation awards.
